Information we collect

Dunk Calculator runs its calculations entirely in your browser. Your height, standing reach, wingspan, vertical jump, rim height, and body weight are used only to compute the result shown on screen. They are never transmitted to our servers, never written to a database, and never linked to you.

We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect names, email addresses, or payment details anywhere on this site. Nothing you type into the calculator is stored after you close or reload the page.

Our hosting provider, Vercel, records standard server request logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) as part of delivering the site. These logs are retained by Vercel under their own privacy policy and are not used by us to build any profile of you.

Cookies & analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate usage — which pages are viewed, roughly where visitors come from, and which devices they use. This helps us decide what to build and what to fix.

Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and processes a truncated version of your IP address. It records page views, session duration, approximate geographic region (country or city level), device type, and referring source. It does not receive any of the values you enter into the calculator. Google retains this data according to the retention period configured for the property; we do not use it to identify individual visitors.

We do not use advertising cookies, remarketing pixels, social media trackers, or session-recording tools. The only cookie-setting third party on this site is Google Analytics. A theme preference (light or dark) is kept in your browser's local storage — that value stays on your device and is never sent anywhere.

Advertising

Dunk Calculator does not currently display advertising, and no ad network is loaded on any page of this site.

If we introduce advertising in the future, we will update this policy before it goes live and disclose the network involved, the cookies it sets, and how to opt out of personalised ads.

Your choices

You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Blocking them will not affect the calculator — it runs entirely on your device and needs no cookies to work.

To opt out of Google Analytics across every site you visit, install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on from tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Most browsers also offer a "Do Not Track" setting and built-in tracker blocking, and ad blockers will stop the analytics script from loading at all.

Because we do not hold any personal data that identifies you, there is no account to delete and no personal record for us to export. If you believe we hold information about you and want it removed, contact us and we will investigate.

Children's privacy

Dunk Calculator is a general-audience sports tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site changes — for example, if we add a new analytics provider or introduce advertising. The revision date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
